Hi, I'm Rowan Vale, a writer, folklorist, and nature lover. My work explores the mythic undercurrents of the ancient and natural world. Drawing on traditions from the Celtic isles and way beyond.

I aim to weave together forgotten tales, symbolic systems, and wild landscapes into lyrical non-fiction and poetic fiction. My work inhabits the threshold—between history and imagination, ritual and reality, the enlightened earth and the watchful stars.

I explore and write from a tiny northern UK village next to a beautiful river at the edge of natural woodlands in the land of oak and iron, where stories rest in the roots, and every season speaks aloud. It is an honour to share my learning and experiences with you.
